Well, I do more than just promise high-quality translation.  If you ask me, high quality translation should go without saying.  My ability to deliver accurate translation should not be your concern. I am a full-time translation professional, and I couldn’t make a living if I delivered poor quality translation.  

 So, when I’m offered a project, I determine if a project is a good fit for my skills before I accept it.  I don't accept a job and then, when it gets too difficult, quit in the middle of your project and leave you hanging.  Or worse, give you a translation that is of low quality. I have and never will do that.

 the translation of the English expression “holy cow?into Korean as literally 'a holy cow.'

  one translation on a major golf site rendered the sentence, “He was in a sudden death tournament?into Korean as “He suddenly died of a heart attack on the golf course."

  another translation from the same golf site had the sentence “He got an eagle on the first green?translated into Korean as “He captured an eagle on the first green.?nbsp; And yes, in Korean the eagle was a bird. 

 These are some actual examples of translations I've been called upon to clean up.

 But these kinds of mistakes are no laughing matter to you.  Those golf mistranslations above were on the golf company’s website for weeks until the CEO got a call from one of his friends  about the errors. 

 These mistakes made his company look foolish.  And they lost business because of it. 

 And the "holy cow?"  That was about to go in an English textbook for Korean children.
